Communication is #$%& hard.

I have more than 35 years of experience of working with data in the Information Technology (IT) industry. Some people may wonder how that helps qualify me to lead workshops on communication. That is a great question. And I would argue that communicating with IT people requires especially good communication skills. I also have more than 40 years of experience leading small groups in a faith setting and more than 20 years of experience of being an elder / pastor.
Communication between humans is often challenging. And IT settings and faith communities are no exceptions. In this season of my life, I want to invest most of my time and energy helping people in various settings communicate better. I have spent a lot of time and energy in the most recent decade of my life thinking and working on communication. There are skills and postures in life that help people become more connected and my goal is to be hands-on in helping people move that direction.
